The extensive menu caters for all tastes including Vegetarians all at a reasonable price. There are 26 covers inside and 50 outside. Tony & Trish are always pleased to see groups of visitors preferably by prior arrangement. They can provide packed lunches or takeaway snacks for visitors.
They are open 7 days a week throughout the year, and inside the cafe is a collection of watercolour paintings of the area by Donald Jackson a well known local artist. Respected local author Michael William's is a frequent visitor to Hurlers Halt, Michael's books cover topics from Cornwall's heritage to Ghost busting and are available from the cafe.

In 1844 the Liskeard and Caradon Railway opened and ran through what is now the cafe's tea garden. A memory of the railway hangs in the tea room in the form of a picture dated 1903.

There is good wheelchair access and a purpose built toilet for the less able.
