The
extensive menu caters for all tastes including
Vegetarians all at a reasonable price. There are 26
covers inside and 50 outside. Tony & Trish are
always pleased to see groups of visitors preferably
by prior arrangement. They can provide packed
lunches or takeaway snacks for visitors.
They are open 7 days a week throughout the year, and
inside the cafe is a collection of watercolour
paintings of the area by Donald Jackson a well known
local artist. Respected local author Michael
William's is a frequent visitor to Hurlers Halt,
Michael's books cover topics from Cornwall's
heritage to Ghost busting and are available from the
cafe. |
In 1844 the Liskeard and Caradon Railway opened and
ran through what is now the cafe's tea garden. A memory
of the railway hangs in the tea room in the form of a
picture dated 1903.
There is good wheelchair access and a purpose built
toilet for the less able.
